Media Arts Elective

Our Media Arts Elective is instructed by our CTE (Career Technical Education) Credentialed teacher, Ms. Pearl Haika. The Graphics Design course is a pathway course that aligns with CTE standard in the AME (Arts, Media, Entertainment) pathway.  We have been fortunate to received a $235,000 grant that provided us with state-of-the-art industry-specific equipment, including MacBook Pros, Wacom tablets, professional photography & videography equipment, Promethean Board, and an professional industry grade printer that can print banners, decals, t-shirts, etc.

In October of 2020, Ms. Haika and her classes explored an amazing opportunity, by attending Adobe Max Conference which was held virtually this year.

One of the activities involved creating tiles  that are currently included and displayed for the world to see in Adobe Max's Global Art Project, a virtual mural that says "All Together Now" in different languages.  Check out the link to see the virtual mural.
