Vision & Mission

Our vision at Northridge Middle School’s Medical and Health Career Magnet Center is to prepare students in meeting the challenges of the 21st century through the exploration of medical/health careers in various pathways. We emphasize high quality of work, integrity, and pride in being productive members of the community.

Our mission is for students to be able to:

• engage in challenging curricula to foster their personal and academic explorations
• work both independently and collaboratively as contributing members of the community and society
• prepare for opportunities to further their education at regional medical high school magnets
• participate in the community and society as innovative learners who value integrity and respect.

Our mission for teachers is to:

• foster a school climate that supports diversity
• treat all students with dignity
• instill a growth mindset in our learning environment
• provide a rigorous and interdisciplinary program in the medical and health career fields.

The magnet will provide students with both field-based and hands-on learning experiences. All stakeholder groups will be dedicated to the development of each student as an individual with creative and academic potential.
